Scripture now tweeted
With the tik tok desire for ever briefer fractions of time
A.k.a the character cap
Worthy of such characters.
Hope that wasn't too long,
Apparently if there's a point to be made
It should be made quickly, precisely
And should just intuitively click...
Just enough of a prompt to fill the attentions span
If you've been taught intuition and emotion are the same
And if that's essentially all you've been taught.
Since when did our ideals have a domain name
A domain name owned by some silicon valley billionaire's
With open ties to intelligence agencies..
Look upon your fucking priests
As always
It's the same fucking situation
Just getting worse
A few generations of brain rot for the masses
And many, many generations of gathered intelligence for the few.
Generations of store owners, entrepeneurs and innovators
Become generations of consuming employees
Ouroboros but a logo for the production line
Of human capital sold to all for all
For the good of everyone
Become nothing
And worship the inversion
As Pazuzu sues you
For slander
Baal's got your back
If you'll credit accordingly.
A communal subscription
To a life of dependence
On shelf live's and stock
which created by many
Are invented by few
And provided at their behest
Unquestioningly it's always fine
As you are told daily
Right until it's not.
Have you taken your communion today?
Baptised in the latest trend
Ecstasy in the throng of hysteria
Fanatical devotion to doomsday prophets
Who you know well to be creators.
Evangelical mania in the eyes of the faithless
Has encapsulated a godless world
And throngs of devotees
Are readying for the with hunt
The inquisitor's ravens fretting
With the iconography by their names
Destroying all that came before
And all that stand against
The rhetoric approaches fever pitch
In the hearts of the branded enlightened
A throb of righteous fury
To cast down the new laws
How dare you not believe what you have not seen
Ye sinner, ye caster of doubt and scornful accusations
Thee enemy of the common man
The flock must be saved above thou
Penitence shall be enforced
With little more than patience and prompting
Radio rwanda for the masses
The clergy are most disdainful
Most scornful
Of all beyond their encroach
Condemning in the name of man
In the name of the faithful and good;
The concerned and the questioning.
The crucifixions now for the faithless
As black marks against their names
But watch for where the sun rises
For many are still borne immortals
And would not destroy life itself
For fears of illness
Shouted out like a call to prayer

I will never be able too see most people
As anything other than evil
False, thinly veiled self concerned evil
That's the damage done to me
And by the looks of our societies daily goings on
And by the looks of all the popular media representatives
It looks to be the damage done to many
It's hard to believe anyone
Everyone contradicts and convicts
Baying teams out for rights
Not for what's really right
Not for what's really true
Just for their rights
Or his rights
Her rights
Anyones right to be right
If it means they get to be right too
But not true
Well other than those fabled my truths
Like a my space or a safe place
Where you can keep away
From all those hateful people
Who aren't at all like you....
Everyone seems more scared than anything
Everyone
Blue, red, black, white
it's all the same brand of striping
The colour's are different sure
But the fears the same
Maybe that was the point?
But I doubt it
Seems to be more sown divisions
In this great garden of paradise lost
Eve believes adam's a beast
Adam believes Eve's a whore
The snake is god
And god is dead
And man?
Is scared with nothing sacred
Nothing but the here and now
And making sure he can tell himself
This isn't hell
There's no smoke without fire
And there's no hope without faith
As you choke on the flames you fanned
From the sparks you were provided
In a society turned to kindling
Fractured and split
Into fragile splinters
Will you believe in your socio-saviours
To bring you from the brink of death
Will you put your faith in them
In order to feel hope?
Why, there is nothing else after all
And you've been notified
The bell is ringing

A Convenient Purgatory

Too many
So obsessed with mortality
They dare not live a day of their life's
So afraid of discomfort
They'll miss every chance
Seeking only the first opportunity to quit while they're ahead
Despite never getting ahead
Just a resignation to the nest
Acceptance of an unbroken shell
Housing an undeveloped chick
Impervious to anything beyond it's sheltered self
As the new standard of success.
You know you've made it when there's nothing to do
Don't you?
As a society surely
You must know we're at the height of our civilisations
The greatest it's ever been
Right now
Sat on a fat arse
Surrounded by shit food
With disposable entertainment flashing by
And time passing in stagnation
With the thoughts of another
Being pried out with a remote
To replace your own vacancy.
I suppose we have mastered the art
Of the twiddling thumb at least.
Or is it the other end?
Running endless in front of the mirror
Never for anything but a pose
Or a sense of self worth
So sorely lacking in most
Who only see wealth as divinity
The highest goal
The gold standard if you will
An enabler of the great sit down
Retirement as the heaven for decadence
One perpetual siesta
A good tan and a selfie
If it goes viral well how saintly
How saintly was your rack
With it's millions of erect viewers.
Pride is an ugly word
To those who know full well they have nothing to be proud of
They know it in their deepest parts
And that isn't inuendo
It's a rare thing called honesty
You know it well, no matter how hard you pretend otherwise
Pulling the wool over your own eyes
Just as the wolves say you should.

How hideously brief our frames of reference are these days
If it hasn't happened to you in the past few years
Then well, surely it is all but gone.
WW2 ended 86 years ago
It's not even a century
And for the past twenty years we've reduced to middle east
To a foaming mass of traumatised rubble and flesh
We destroyed them, their very souls
Not just their buildings, not just the so called terrorists
Not just the extremists and those whipping bigoted woman haters
Or whatever boogeyman was needed to win the hearts
Of those who never really cared to know.
No
We destroyed them
we blew up their towns
Their homes
Their families and loved ones
We destroyed their minds and bodies
And sowed such powerful seeds of hate
Seeds of well deserved hatred..
And now we'll import the people we destroyed
And all of this
All of it
Was for someone's own good
It was for liberalism
And human rights
We destroyed and traumatised
Millions of people
For their own good
For their human rights
And for liberalism
Now we're going to bring
All of those people we broke and damaged
Over to our safe refuge countries
Which we've already begun dividing
Which we've already factionalised....
And we'll bring them here
For their own good
For our own good
For liberalism
For democracy
And for human rights.
Has any more wrong ever been done?
Than what's being done here and now
At the peak of our civilisations?
At the height of our civilisations?
Here, now.. where we have transcended our bigoted forefathers
And those crippling ideals of the chained past?
Here and now in the age of enlightenment?
Where we are al lso good and learned
And haven't at all forgotten the past
Or demonised it as convenient
To assure ourselves that
We, yes you
And me
And you ofcourse
Are the very best people that there's ever been
the most loving
the most tolerant
the most liberal
The most easy going and care free
If you can't see what's been done
God bless you
All of you
You will own nothing
And you will be happy
It has been planned
And you will do your duty
Trauma begets trauma
Division spreads division
Just because they've called trauma, freedom
And just because they've named division, unity
I hope you won't be surprised
When they pull up the curtains
And you get to see beyond the show
